what. tools for visualization

why. By placing information on a sheet in a certain way, you get to see the correlations and thus the bigger picture. Also, I've used mapping to communicate and visualize ethnographic research.

how. For example, on the left you see a data visualization of the fundamentality of habits. They are the choices that all of us deliberately make at some point and then stop thinking about it, but continue doing everyday. I've become interested in the power of habits and how they influence our whole world as a big system. People might now be aware, but as an individual you inevitably are part of a chain reaction that has impact on the planet's wellbeing. The awareness and research I got out of this map was later used in the project 'Do You Need It All?'
